Sparrow Lark Scape
I made this image today at TG Halli near Bangalore. Here I tried to use back lighting and working out a composition using its habitat. The image may look darker than what it should be on an uncalibrated display. Thanks for your views..

what a wonderful image Ganesh, done in your usual fantastic style. Just enough details to grab my eye and hold it. As always, you're the master of light. Really enjoying the images here :)

Ganesh, sometimes I use your images to check my monitor calibration. And this one looks perfect...so my monitor is calibrated :)

Have you made similar image at TG halli before ? Coz I thought you are posting an old image. Brilliant use of light and composition. Always enjoy your creative images.

I want to say more than just "Ah, lovely!", but I don't know what more I can say about this image. :-) There is art that is subject to critique and then there is art that is beyond critique, and this creation belongs to the latter category. Do you have one in which the lark is not preening, but is either just looking on or better still calling out? That would be a winner too! Like Sudhir said, just perfect use of light and fantastically controlled processing here. Thanks for sharing.

What I like about this image -
- The deep colored bg
- Pose of the bird
- Fantastic light and its use
What dint impress me -
- Too many elements at the bottom of the image which take away some attention on the bird and the ambiance
- Far reddish thing in the bg which is distracting my visual flow over the bg

I have just calibrated my monitor and I can see a lot of difference in the image when I viewed before calibration. I can see the fragments of grass in the foreground much better and with amazing detail. Thanks for sharing, Ganesh.

I saw the image and I knew it was you, then for double check looked at the name :). Beyond comments, now I see your images and imagine how they must be looking on the prints that you are making. See you in a few days.
