Kingfisher
Those who are wondering what this is, it is a photograph of a print being consumed by Nature! Opinions matter only in our world!

That said, there is an interesting copyright issue with the image. The original print (print without fungus) was made by Adithya Biloor. As per this thread I can't probably claim copyrights on this particular image. However it is not very clear to me since it is not just a photo of a print. The decision to photograph it seeing the added work of Nature is still mine. However, the kingfisher belongs to Adithya!

Kingfisher is Adithya's, fungus is mine. Who owns copyright for this image?!

Still thinking...

is it not true for all the images that we make? Nature has copyright for most of the things around us including ourselves :)

I guess, no one will think of copyright-ing the content/elements .. he may mean more about the 'seeing', presenting and/or a particular moment(?)

Ganesh, I haven't seen the original. This one is very interesting! Now, I am thinking if you take print of this and allow the nature to consume how will it look!!

Interesting image and thoughts Ganesh. For a second, i got reminded of few images of Nick Brandt's 'On this earth' series.

On a lighter note,
Kingfisher is Adithya's, fungus is mine

Do you really want fungus Ganesh?? :)

I have been pondering about this for a while now Ganesh, since I saw this post on facebook. Personally, I think the copyright for this image belongs to you just because, the original image that Aditya took, is not the same as what the fungus has made it now and how you have presented it(in your own capture) is not similar to how the original piece was presented by its author.

thank you,

Since you have titled this 'kingfisher' copyright is mine :) ;) Ha, haa.. Just kidding. I am just enjoying the image without bothering about that.

I like to know more of your thoughts behind making this image.
