BTW, this image is one in the series of images I made when I visited a jungle in southern part of India on an assignment to photograph people of a native tribe named Soligas who live in the jungles. This particular place in the jungle happens to be their place of worship - an open space under a huge tree which I was told is about 800 years old. The tribal settlement in the jungle visit this tree once a week to offer their prayers. For them, Nature is God. Sustainable living is part of their genes. They worship many things in nature - from trees to tigers. I have learnt a few precious lessons from their living style. Here is a portrait of a little boy belonging to the community if you want to get a glimpse. I was told this little boy was not keeping well that day and hence the uncomfortable yet curious look on his face. They also have temples which are tiny one room houses with thatched roof. I visited one of them and I was not allowed inside. That is where I found this little boy and his father.

The "Trishul" makes it Philosophical ...I wonder about it origins and its symbolism is that there are three conflicting points to natures Triangle - The natural way just let it be.....the need to control for survival of species.....the need to hoard for ego ( only humans. No other species. Wonder why if that was self damaging why were we programmed that way I wonder )

Imagine the contrast of praying to a tree with the only thoughtful contact with nature is fruits and vegetables in the super market

Art is about what is inside rather than what is outside

Indeed, 'trishul' pointing skywards turn this images into much thought provoking direction, Ganesh. Very interesting anthropological notes n boy's innocent portrait.
