Opportunist
These kites were feasting on the 'roasted' rodents and small birds.
I was also an opportunist to make images of devastation.

Another high impact image RD! The smoke around and the burnt ground are really conveying the mood to the viewer. My only wish was a slightly better definition of the kite, but then its not a major one. The impact is intense. Thanks for sharing...

Nice setting here Dinesh. If this were mine I would crop those sky spots on the top. Your thoughts about being an opportunist is very interesting.

Thanks for sharing the image..

Another high impact image dinesh. I am thinking absence of two trees on the left side might have placed more emphasis on the bird and rendered the frame more powerful.

Thanks looking and commenting.

I was reluctant to click any image that day, as I was not enjoying the scene. For about an hour I just watched, drove up and down to understand what happened and finally came to terms. And started looking at photo opportunities, and hence titled it as "opportunist".
Ashwini: A stronger bird ? well with the smoke around I'm yet to get to that level of skill. I didtry it though.
Ganesh: I have already cropped some sky on top, to me cropping more did not appeal. Hence left that small portions of the sky on top.
Mahesh: I do have an image with single bird around the smoke. But I chose this wide perspective including the trees to share here.

Very interesting image RD. What I like the most in this image is the smoke that has engulfed the area and the way the distant bird is perched on heap of rock or mud. Mood and message conveyed through the image is indeed very impressive!
