The war will end

The war will end.
The leaders will shake hands.
The old woman will keep waiting for her martyred son.
That girl will wait for her beloved husband.
And those children will wait for their heroic father.
I don't know who sold our homeland.
But I saw who paid the price. - Mahmoud Darwish


The series of events that is happening elsewhere in the world is unsettling. The above poem by Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish appears very apt. I wanted to repurpose an image to echo this feeling and found this one in my archive (controlled forest fire).

In which other species in nature do we see this? None that I know of. We probably are very special (Are we?).

Very sad state of affairs there...
All our words, thoughts are looking shallow, though how genuine those feelings may ...

The image is aptly conveying the gloomy mood, probably the man setting ablaze his own world....

An apt image n embedded words that says it all. Someone rightly said, instead of mind if we had listened to our heart .. world would have been better place!
