Is there a larger purpose behind all these? Nature may be laughing at such questions...

Having seen the actual subject, I am amazed on how you have created an stunning picture from a mundane subject. Masterfully seen and executed Ganesh.

Amazing details n traces of time makes this very special!, Ganesh. I'm wondering if it's a double exposure(?)!

Motion blur is a nice touch o the questions you are asking, Ganesh.

For some reason, this image reminded me of Adithya U N's image.

Is there a larger purpose behind all these?

Even though individual ant in this picture was running with a purpose, a collective representation of their motion brings in a randomness to the movement. In the view of which every ant contributes its share to the final result - race to achieve maximum randomness...

Whether those ants or humans must have the same purpose.

Laws of nature? No, may be that definition itself restricts the forces of nature. Nature of nature is beyond any bounds. Just love the still and motion objects in the image, Ganesh

Best Regards

It reminds me of us humans. Could be a illustration of us humans in a city, at a train station or in the traffic.

Nevil, it is a slow shutter image. I was photographing the stationary group at the top. Another group moved in. I quickly decided to reduce the shutter to keep them in motion while rendering the stationary ones as is. What astonished was next day all these little ones had tiny wings and the following day none were on the tree. I don't know the natural history of these insects but Nature is simply mysterious and magical...
