A Tiger in Tadoba
I was told tribal people living inside the Tadoba Tiger Reserve in India build a small open temple like above within the jungle at the place where a tiger happens to kill a person. I was told they pray to tiger (God) not to kill more people. They don't seem to kill all the tigers by poisoning them. I am sure tigers too avoid killing for the sake of killing. If this is not conservation by local tribe what else could be?

Many a times, well learned people look down upon these tribals as unread or less sophisticated compared to city dwellers. And here you have an example of their lifestyle which shows their indepth attachment to the world they live in. This process/ritual of constructing a temple while facing a personal loss only shows how well they are connected to nature compared to city dwellers for whom forests have almost become alien land..

The first thought that comes to my mind is "this is a good subject for a fine story". And think of the ways to tell that story in our ways, as outsiders. But, how can a deep-rooted belief, a life that has a history of thousands of years can be just a 'story'?
