1500 pixels of life!
To be honest, this image wasnt intentional. The swallow (?) flew into the frame just as I was about to fire the shutter. All said this image did give me the idea for my "...pixels in life" series, to show the subjects of the high Himalayas dwarfed in context to their vast terrain.
All along Ladakh, the Indus river not only provides the much needed lifeline for sustainence but also some incredible panoramas. Its one big river with a mighty reputation of having shaped not only the land but also its local residents. A swallow flying into the frame in this incredible vastness was a lucky break for me , but for the bird its a part of everyday business and it surely is an awesome workplace.
I would like to end this pixels of life series here to avoid overdosing on the concept. But I shall always be open to any future possibilities in this area. Thanks for all the encouragement.

This is a dream terrain and your series was a dream series too. Everything here seems to be so perfect. The lovely blue sky with the cotton clouds, the river bed, the rocks and gods blessed you with the swallow :) in the frame. Thanks for sharing these pleasant visuals.

Pramod, I am just ending this concept, I still have a lot more images falling outside this theme, from our trip to share. The reason I wanted to end this concept was to avoid diluting it, and also because I do not have any any more pics falling into this category worth sharing  But as I said I shall try developing on this concept in my future photo expeditions and who knows what may turn up. So fear not. Now the rating and critique please ;)

Though the presence of swallow is 'by chance', I am glad you retained this image in your memory card with out considering it as a distraction :). The sheer scale of the landscape contrasts well with the bird here. Only small nit is the presence of rocks on the right. Either you should have included completely or you can crop it for better presentation. But, that's subjective and I know it was mostly 'on the go' shooting so I don't consider this as your mistake. The skies of that place still haunts be. Another nice image from you Harsha!
