The blue mountains!
When you are at the top of a mountain then the long teles will offer some good opportunities to make landscapes! One such opportunity I got when I trekked last week to Kodachadri. It was the time of arrival of the monsoon and the mountains around were getting hit by the thick dark clouds. I always wanted to make an image of the mist covered mountains. Keeping that in mind I had taken my tele to the peak and there I got this opportunity to capture the blue mood of the distant mountains. It was around 5:45 in the evening and the light was very soft.
Here the mountains become very much alive in the monsoons!

Oh... Nice one here Ashwini... But I personally feel that, slight increase in contrast would have made the image more dramatic...

Beautiful gradations, blue cast all over gives cooler perspective. Very nice image Ashwini. I would love to see a vertical composition as well with FG, MG and BG in the frame. Nice Canvas this is!

Beautiful image Ashwin! Love the peaceful mood, soft muted colors here. Different layers of forest gives this image a nice feeling. I think you could have waited a bit to get rid of the trace of the cloud at 1/3 of the bottom left.

Ashwin I really loved everything about this photograph. Composition, colours, and even the patterns. Nice painting like feeling. Now I wish to sincerely apologize for a silly accident which happened in my hands. In my previous attempt of writing a comment, I ended up wrongfully clicking on the ratings which was by default at 1. I feel so awful. Such a lovely image has gone down the ratings because of a mistake which shouldn't have happened. I ask for your forgiveness. I have also sent a mail to the moderators mentioning this. I hope they would do something and reduce my guilt feelings.

Dear Nilanjan ji,
That’s not a problem at all! Please don’t worry about that. We share images basically for pleasure and the ratings are not the primary concerns, at least for me. I make and share the images only because I had enjoyed that moment and just want to share it with like minded friends like you. All the play of rating and all is not in my mind at all.
So, if you enjoyed my image that’s the best rating that I could get. :) I don’t take the numbers very seriously.
