Morning Mood
Made this image at Ranganathittu during a winter morning. Kind of liked the layers and mood here. Love to know your thoughts..

Ganesh, am kind of feeling that the horizon is looking a little tilted on the right on the water front, but the distant trees appear to be just about ok. Now this is a chance to learn something, the waterline clearly appears to provide a better horizon line than the tree's in the bg. why didnt you align the horizon based on the water line ? Since you never miss the little things in an image, am assuming that the tilt was intentional.

Mood is the essence of this image. Various tonal ranges in the image makes it special. Yes I think it needs counter clock tilt. Foreground stones appears to be in line with horizon (and possibly creating an iilusion).

I liked the mood here, Ganesh. A pano crop, slicing a bit from both top and bottom might strengthen the image, IMO. Thanks for sharing.

Love the mood and the presence of the plover, of course. But I feel conversion to grayscale has taken away the sublime and subtle difference in tones between the rising mist and the layers (as you've mentioned) in the surroundings and the beautiful orange glow of the early morning, that are a treat to the eyes in the colour version on your website. I would certainly love this in absolute terms, but since I've already seen the colour version, I like that better.

Thanks friends for your views. I was hoping to keep eyes on constrasting stone/reflection at the center. I decided to let go some of tonal separation at the top (visible in color version) to emphasize the bird/stone/reflection at the center. Though I did notice the tilt I left it as is for couple of reasons - I felt it was not that objectionable the way my mind perceived it :) and CC rotation means cropping all sides which would reduce the "expanse".
