Dove and its shadow
One day during my visit to Corbet NP a few weeks back I spent a few hours sitting inside a watch tower. The light was very harsh and kind of liked the strong shadow here. Cloned out a few tiny pieces of wood. Thanks for your views..

Very minimalistic yet effective composition. Position and the angle of the dove works really well. IMHO, strong sunlight is great for B&W images: pronounced shadows give great contrast to the images, given that a suitable subject is chosen. Thanks for sharing.

Generally Ganesh I do not prefer to see such angles ( my mental block ), but here it indeed is working for my eyes, may be because of the shadows you know. This image connected with my mind, dont know very difficult to explain. Am simply not looking at it technically and with what is supposed to be where etc, the black and white mood, the shadows, the space etc all together created an impact. Thanks for sharing and am in no hurry to forget it soon :). Reminds me of Majid Majidi.

I have always held, mid-day shooting is a niche in itself. For example my image here shows how shadows bring coherence to an image.

This image is interesting due to the different aspect ratio, shadow and especially the conversion to b/w works wonders in such harsh light conditions, this one is a lesson in trying different compositions, the tyre marks distracts a bit.

i liked the way the bird is positioned along the tyre mark...the shadow is highlighting the bird from white bg is also interesting.....b&w is working wonders as always....just designing an image..the bird landing with full wing spread and its reflection on the track.....
