Flower and Sun
Continuing my experiments on "macro landscapes" (or "micro landscapes"). The flower is gently lit by the flash to control the light and exposure.

I wrote a little blog on it with some more examples which you are interested can read here.

Thanks for your views.

WOW! This is brilliant piece of art! The tinges of red contrasts so awesomely well against the greenish-blue halo around the sun. Almost hallucinating mood here! This image stays with the for a long long time for the very reason that - this is a very common flower yet the creation is very very original and inspiring. Admiring big time..

Master stroke once again! Great control over light and DoF! An amazing image for my taste. Just loved everything in this image! What makes this image special is the distant foliage that you have included to surround the empty place around the Sun! That gives a totally different feel! Great one over all! Thanks for sharing...

Love this one Ganesh... Love the vignetting effect created by the background!

Love the tones here a lot Ganesh, the dark areas in the frame created by the surrounding leaves perhaps, the cloud colour and the subtle details on the flower all stands out quite well. Very nice image.

The Thumbnail looked like just another against light image of a budding flower. But this is a Masterpiece. I happened to see this owing to the rating of the image and I'm sure it deserves much more than this. :).. I wonder how would it look if a bit of higher flash exposure on the flower and toning down the BG marginally is applied..
