I often think harsh lights (and hence the contrast) can be used as an advantage in B&W. Made this one at Bhadra a few weeks back. Thanks for your views..

Yes, so far harsh light is the only indication for me to go b&w.
In this image i would have liked a bit more black sky to supplement 'dead' ? Don't know, did i use the right word? i should use Kannada :)

Just love the waves and highlights on the dead tree. The light is adding a lot of life to the dead. Tinge of clouds is adding an interesting depth and subtle mood to the image. The boat must have be rocking. Very well executed.
