Crested Kingfisher
I liked the perspective I got due to the steep angle and pattern of waves and light. Love to know your thoughts.

Love this image Ganesh, well timed, the angle made all the difference along with perfect light, subtle waves and the tone of the water. Very nice !!!

Brilliant image here Ganesh. Getting a sharp image of the bird, considering its speed is a challenge - atleast for me :)
Loved the pattern and the usual great lighting. Keen to know the position you were and the set up you had.

Thanks a lot for sharing

Ganesh, Kingfisher in flight with catch is easier said than done.
Loved the sharpness and the detail on the bird.
the wave pattens are also intresting.

I guess this shot at Rangnathittu, from the watch tower? :-)

Prithvi, this is Crested Kingfisher, not seen in south. Made this at Corbet NP.

The color of the water, the angle and the positioning of the bird in the frame made this image for me Ganesh. Nice pattern on the wings as well.

How about telling THE story behind the image?

At your age ( you are young, pardon my words! ;-) ), sitting atop a watch tower in scorching sun for 12 hours for this ONE image! ^^Bows^^ to your efforts. What stuns me is the artistic value this image is screaming with such a beautiful water reflections. Not the forget that this image has come out during hostile environmental conditions.

Very unique perspective. The patterns on the spread-out wings look lovely. The water underneath with those refractions from ripples provides a fine BG.

Nice perspective and definitely an unique image. Curious to know whether you had visualized this image before framing it and also whats the equipment used?

An amazing shot, Ganesh. What makes me wonder is how brilliantly you have used the empty/negative space here. The waves pattern is a bonus. Seems like Light was little harsh, but helped to get the faster shutter speed. TFS.

As always something new. The reflections of water, light & color tones makes the image on of it's kind. Dream image! Thanks for sharing...
