Awesome ! Loved the hues here. Blue sky, blue lake and the animal grazing in peace...
Very tempted to suggest placing the silhouetted animal against the water but that would mean shooting from lower perspective which might reduce the thickness of the band of water.
On second thoughts, I think I simply like it the way you've presented.
Thanks for sharing Nevil.

Nevil, I really liked it. The image is CLEAN!.
loved the placement of the wild ass?.
very well exposed.

My mind says both with regard to the presence of the wildass in the frame.
One side of me says the image is a winner in itself without the presence of the wildass, but other side the wildass sort of gives a context to the image. Like the nice late evening hues in the image.
One other suggestion would have been a frame from low in the ground by avoiding the interface between water and land cutting through the mammal.

Nevertheless i have to admit the i love the feel & mood in the image.

thanks kaushik, prithvi & shiva for comments and suggestions.

regarding inclusion 'n placement of the ass ... i used it to give the scale to the vast tso moriri scape, and just because i always try to add something alive in to my barren scapes.

taking lower angle was the 1st thing i tried but it made the blue lake loose it's size 'n importance. i preferred to keep the ass's upper body cut the straight edge of the lake to balance with the mountain tops on the other side, and also because it cannot be missed easily, being very dark in the dark meadows.

i don't know how important are these reasons to others but i can't see the other way. regards.

Lovely mood in the image Nevil. I liked the image as is. Liked the subtle blues in the frame. They give a very soothing feel. Thanks for sharing.
