Giants
Giants pitted against one other, It is a gargantuan battle played out so gently, that we hardly ever notice its viciousness. Its won by tenacity and persistence along with a little bit of luck.

Must thank Ashwin and Pramod for taking me along on this wonderful trip to NW Karnataka. I finally got to making images again after a gap of more than a year. Thanks to Ashwin his Tripod too.

Technically, this is a vertical pano of 4 images stitched together, which I made in Yana. I wanted to show the sheer size of these giants, one living pitted against a non living one. Concentrating on this battle in a way shows how resilient life is and more than anything shows the true scale of Life in Yana.

Thanks for looking and a Happy New Year!

Its good to be back :)

Welcome Back Harsha!!!
Very well thought and executed image.. I like the way you have added the supporting rail on the left to give a sense of scale to the viewer!!
waiting for more :)

Beautiful! Well worth the effort. Wish the 'human' implants like the iron rail and plastic cover were not there. Maybe capturing more on the right side would have helped... it wouldn't have cropped off the second tree as well.

By the way, read this somewhere about the rocks... It seems rocks aren't actually dead... They're so massive and dense that it contorts time. They're living creatures just as humans. What humans consider a century, is merely a microsecond for these giants :)

Great stuff buddy.
If and only if you could have avoided the man-made-structure in the bottom of the frame ...
At first thought this could be a ultra wide lens result - but vertical pano makes it present really nice.
Lovely image.

The jagged feeling at the bottom is really accentuating the lower portion of the image and adding significantly to the impact. Very nicely seen and presented. Top left and top right portion looks a bit over sharpened to my eyes. Loved the overall exposure man. Great going.
