Draco - A Perspective
Made this at a remote village near during last week of Dec. This time I saw them at up close but did not get a chance to try it in flight.

The background and the placement of the draco is driving me mad Ganesh, could not stop opening this image at least 10 times now :). Would remember this a very very long time.

simply mindboggling, ganesh. love the compo with very interesting & captive play of light 'n shadows. for me, draco is an icing on cake.

Ganesh,

This is a very special image indeed!! both in terms of the subject you want to showcase and the BG with which it is presented..wondering why you did not present this one in B & W. And my own B & W conversion gave me the answer :)
However i do feel that a 90 deg CCW rotation would give it a more appealing feel.. Your thoughts??

Whoa! Boy, oh, boy! Talk about something already perfect being bettered! If we thought your previous such draco silhouette image was a masterpiece, this is its mother. The combination of the silhouette, the position of the forward leg and the utterly magical background with starkly realistic textures (which is the factor that separates it from your earlier draco image) elevates this to a different league of imagery!

99% would walk away considering it as a poorly backlit subject, you have brought all the elements together to pull off another unique image, the bg lines accentuate the Draco.

Adithya, I did try B&W but then felt absence "yellow" appendage subtracted from the image. Regarding CCW rotation, I think I agree with you ! (even though it affects the natural "climbing" posture).

Hi Ganesh!
A happy new year to you. A beautiful image to start off a new year! I love Draco's "in phase" posture with curved lines in the background. Tried to visualise excluding the vertical part on the right upto the most prominent dark band and it seems to work for me.
Thanks for sharing

Lovely image Ganesh. Makes me want to join with you while photographing and just observe how you visualize such shots :), wondering if you 'saw' such a backdrop even before looking in the viewfinder. No doubt this is great shot but if the tail of draco was slightly up (such that it is also silhouetted), would have made it more powerful (just my thoughts though!).

Am sorry but am just wondering of there is something lacking or am not matured enough artistically to spice up my taste buds. There is something that is missing in the image that is found in all your images. I honestly miss the trypical 'Ganesh's aura' in the image. Am looking at it since sometime and unable to figure it out. May be it is the light ? Or Is it the composition? Or is it the square crop?

I agree with Pramod's thoughts. Great visualization and I like the green stripes. I am not sure, if a hint of fill flash light would given more punch.
