What I love about this image is the sheer density of the mist, giving it an 'amidst the clouds' feel. But I reckon that this image would regain its deserved vibrancy, and reflect the morning mood more faithfully, in colour. Also, I'm somehow unable to appreciate the square presentation (although I understand that you may have chosen it to give space for the rising mist) and the heron is looking a bit soft (perhaps you deliberately didn't sharpen it much?).
