Controlled Fire
Just back from a week long trip to Kaziranga National Park. Controlled burning of the grassland is going on as of now. Tried to frame the grassland on fire using couple of safari elephants (not wild). Thanks for your views..

Hope to catch up with the posted images soon..

Very nice one Ganesh, I like this mood a lot actually. Did you get any with the rhino that you were looking for ? I waited for a long time on the tower in central for one but could not manage the shot that I was imagining.

Nilanjan, I saw one Rhino with a ring of fire surrounding it in the central but then my guard was in a hurry to go out since it was late in the evening and getting dark. I have several variations of this and ones with wild buffaloes in the foreground. These images are tough to process due to very low light, thanks to D700 I manged to pull off some images at least - all images are made at 6400 iso with shutter going below 1/30 sec.

Liked the mood here Ganesh. But, but, my expectation is far away from this :) waiting for more.
