Dear Shankar,
Thanks for the views.
Typically we nature photographers do is we go to a place enjoy the nature and capture/represent what we felt there. Sometimes we try to represent what exactly we saw there. Sometimes we try to represent what we felt there. We try to bring the essence of the place by various means (like converting it into b/w etc) Most of the times I also do the same and I enjoy doing like this.
But in this series I have tried to reflect a state of mind through nature and nature photography. It is an attempt to find myself in nature. It is an attempt to reflect myself using nature photography. I went to the place and searched for opportunity to capture the nature where it shows a state of mind. I have intentionally avoided anchor points, orders, arrangement of colors etc. Instead I have tried, as I tried some days back, chaotic order, randomness, muted colors etc. I chose the title reflections because it is not only the reflection in the nature but also reflection of my state of mind. To quote Nirlep's word "The pictorial is a façade"
After saying these words I should admit I have failed in my attempt if my images fail to convey what I wanted to.May be I should have tried even more disorder, chaos, randomness.
