The sad news what I heard is that the FD Assam is contemplating closure of tourism in Gurakathi, dunno how much of this is true, heard the FD thinks they are under staffed to continue with tourism there. I hope this is a hoax and we continue to visit this place. Amazing mood here Ganesh, making me feel so nostalgic again :-).

fantastic artistic composition and execution.. personally learned a lot from this image. Thanks a lot for sharing.

The mist makes this image very moody. Beautifully composed frame with the Rhino balancing the heavy tree on the left.
If the Rhino could stand out higher against lighter regions (also contrasting BG), it might have added more to this image IMHO.
This would've also meant you shooting from a lower perspective; and I'm not sure how feasible this was on field.

Beautiful image and mood is excellent. As told elsewhere, your work on B&W is churning out master pieces. Coming to the image, I loved the balance and counter balance of tree and Rhino. To be honest, I would have preferred the Rhino on the hump of grass. But that's nature :)

I love the simplicity in this. Looks perfect in monochrome. I think the hidden legs actually work brilliantly here. The placement of the tree is so terrific as well and there is nothing else in the frame to distract, with the gentle bit of mist adding the icing on the cake. Would love to see this in a huge print, Ganesh. Thank you for sharing.
