Interesting composition here Ashwin. I think slight increase in brightness and contrast in the sky would emphasize the composition further. Personally I prefer the other one in your portfolio for this reason. (this one). I kind of liked the mood in this one however.

I too love the one for which Ganesh has included a link, better than this one. For the composition, the presence of the well defined clouds in the other image is really carrying the image so well placement of the bird so well.

I was torn between the two images (this one and the color version in my portfolio) and I took a good one week to decide which one to post! I chose this one because of its mood. The color version has more details and textures in the cloud, which is absent in this one, but the mood in this image is missing in the other one!
It was certainly a tough choice for me.

Loved both shots, would like a suggest a hybrid i.e the mood of the one posted with some details of the bird and branch in the other one.

A beautiful shot this. I personally like the mood feel brought by clouds. It has that "kaale megha" feel to it. Looked up the second image that Ganesh mentioned. Both images are set apart qualitatively and your predicament in picking one up for post here is justified. I also agree that this one has mood to it while the other one is rich on visual elements.
