BTW, this image had entered the finals of Veolia Wildlife photographer of the year-2011.

Hi Adithya,
A very interesting way to get into the finals of the covetous contest. Could you share more details..how you made this image. Is it a wide angle shot from up-close? One bird or many of them?

Dear Nirlep,
As I have already shared the color version I was lazy to write about the image. Sorry for the confusion.
Here is the color version of the image.
This is achieved by the technique of zoom burst. That evening a lonely hill myna was sitting on edge of a branch. I wanted to make an image which depicts the evening mood. As simple clicks turned out uninteresting I decided make an image using the technique of zoom burst. I have used 18- 105 lens to make this image.
