There would be some beauties only visible to a handful, you indeed are so lucky that you saw it all with your own eyes Harsha. This is like seeing and understanding the meaning of LIFE through a journey. Conquests and journeys of life... finally perhaps helps to understand, learn and respect. I can feel the amount of dedication, will power and discipline you have accumulated for even attempting something like this. Kudos my friend.
Sriharsha, interesting thoughts there ! I think if the idea is to "conquer" then you are right. For some it may be just a "challenge". Oh, yes the image portrays how "small" we are..
On another note, what was the height of this place ? Very interesting patterns of snow, looks like a river which froze instantly , some portions of the snow have those wave like formations. Is this location in Nepal ?
Thanks everybody. Nilanjan Khumbu ice fall is approx 18000 ft above the sea level. Not sure about the wave pattern of the glacier though, but I guess its due to its composition of 100% ice unlike other glacier which have rocks and boulders. And this is in Nepal and one of the thoughest things I have ever done in my life for the sheer amount of effort put to complete the 3 week trek. It was a journey of self discovery for me in many was and I am glad it did it when I did. Photography was new skill to me at that time and taking pictures was number 2 priority. I guess the situation is a little different now but I dont think I can go now.
