Excellent image Arati. Love the curve and fine spot light on those wrinkles. In my view why this works best is you are not showing the eye of it - which otherwise would have competed with the beautiful curve there. Thanks for sharing..

this is an image i enjoyed making - it is part of a series on trunks.
Ganesh, you are right - not for a moment did i consider including the eye. this curve was enough. what i spent some time on was how much to burn in order to accentuate what i wanted to show - the texture on the wrinkles in the curve.

btw, it is the trunk of a beautiful and vivacious makhna from Kabini. the next time you are there, do look out for him. you cannot miss him. he has a fold on the tops of both his ears and a lovely thick middle portion of the trunk.
