Light and Shade - Series
During my recent macro photography trip I spotted a dragonfly repeatedly using the same perch in a shaded region. After thinking for a while I have decided to use different forms and shapes of light and shade backdrops to make some of the images. While I often spend lots of money going to far off national parks and sanctuaries the satisfaction I derive from making these images at my own backyards is no less. In fact, I think we tend to think more and get more innovative when we have 'nothing' there to photograph. At the end we tend to make as satisfying or more satisfying images. Here is the link to the rest of the collection which gave me some satisfaction.

Outstanding series Ganesh, I was hoping you would post the defocussed image of the wings with just a partial hint of the head and the body.

This is just amazing Ganesh, just by changing the background in the images can make so much diffrence with the same subject.
I liked the BG of the 2nd and 3rd last images in the series.
I agree we when we have nothing(no strong subject) to photograph and we have to search(in nature and within ourselves) for the image, that is when we are most satisfying.
