Ganeshsir,
To start with, will go back to my memories.
When we were (Around 1996's) in High School, one of my favorite subject was history (geography, etc may be people laugh for that

), and was keen on writing the maps etc, It still remained in my memory.
Coming to the image, it depicts something like the geography of India, may be around 700-900 years old. The North-Western part of it is now the Pakistan, the east west (Lot of the portion of Tibet, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Burma etc..) and the rest now the existing India. Kashmir portion is lot as is may be and the valley running from the top portion to the middle (The vein of leaf) is something of Vindhya range, running over Eastern Gujrat, Uttarpradesh, Madhyapradesh. It collectively triggered that thought.
I dont know which was my perspective or a flick of mind at the moment (it may not be the exact frame of ancient India, but a Kind).
Thanks - Raghu
