Natures Eye...
Hi,
I sometime fascinated with the minute things in nature and tend to post something similar, sorry about that. Here is an image of a flower (flower of Touch me not plant), not macro though. Initially while choosing the title, I thought of the name Blast, but another name triggered that is Retina or Eye.. Hope it interests.

Your views, suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Raghu

Yes Raghu it looks like eye, so "nature's eye" goes well as a title. Not sure whether you can play some more with light to balance the image further. As presented it seem to dominate a bit in darker tones. Smaller image area with larger white border might add too. These Mimosa pudica flowers are really beautiful. I had tried making some macro images earlier. One of them is here. - not a creative perspective though.

For me , space all over the image would have added to the frame is what I believe. Again since these flowers grow very close to the ground, am not not sure what were your conditions while shooting, getting too close at times seems to take the composition off guard. Nice attempt and it indeed looks like Iris! Also another problem with close macro shots are getting the apt DOF. Indeed, practice makes perfect ;-)

Tight crop works fine for me here. It does look like an eye. I wonder how the center part turned out black. Would be interested to know that. TFS.

@Ganesh Sir, I will surely try out the different play-arounds on the brightness and the border. The one in your link is wonderful, I couldn't have had such images. I tried several of them and one thing I was thinking is to be on a different side, tried to capture the circumference than the surface and it worked out different. I could have had a better PP. Thanks for your insights and guidance.

@Pramod, I had a bigger image and thought of cropping it, so that it would look something similar to the Iris (Eye). And it worked but not surely in a better way.
As you had mentioned choosing better DOF is a challenge. Thanks for sharing your views.

@Ramesh, I am passing the image through illustrative forum, here is the Link, hope it interests you. The only trick as I had mentioned worked better here was when the focus was on the circumference. Thanks for your views.
