Bird over ripples
Standing on a watch tower I spent some time trying to track this little jewel over ripples of water. Kind of liked this one from different experiments..

Liked this one. This image makes me feel the kingfisher is being shot out from the water by the ripples. I feel placing the bird off-center i.e more towards the top left space would make it more interesting.

Liked the water gradation from bottom left to top right (diagonally) and the center placement of the bird.. being a 2D medium, and with the KF not spreading its wings its creating a confusing visual for me :).. not able to accept that the kf is flying over the water :)..
Sir, was this illusion intentional?

Manjunath, it is not an illusion, when I triggered the shutter the wings were in closed position (which I liked it too).

Hi Ganesh,
Can we have enough of moments? No ways. This image of yours shows us why. This moment is so different! One would wait for a moment to peak and that usually implies when the bird has fully opened up its wings, maximum body visibility..but this one when the bird has closed down all its shutters would be so interesting is beyond imagination! Its form pointing both ways confounds the viewer. In the words of Cartier bresson...this is a "decisive moment" captured.
Great shot once again
