Beautiful composition here Nevil. Tall shadows and spot light at the top leads our eyes there. I don't have a suggestion to improve this, looks perfect as is. May B&W conversion would be interesting too. Thanks for sharing.

thanks ganesh for review. it's altogether a very incomparable/uncomfortable(!?) experience, shifting from a bad-old CRT to LED monitor ... i hope to learn 'n judge with experience & you peoples' inputs.

here is the b/w version viewtopic.php?f=9&t=535

This is beautiful, and i *love* the bw version, Nevil... i think bw takes a slightly higher spot in my mind :)
the details on the leaf-litter and the strong blacks of those tree trunks really make the image for me.

thanks!

Hey Nevil!! where have you been? Such a long absence..we missed you here.
Well the contrasts and colors look very good to me. Green plant in the foreground makes this a different composition. Was it by choice that you kept it in shadow area?
Looking forward to more such beauties from you :)

After a long time..., but we know you were silently watching all the posts. Busy with any new projects?
Liked the composition, as always. Can't decide between color and b/w.

thanks arati, nirlep 'n adithya for words.

@ nirlep,
there was no much choice to have green plant in sun, but i hurried to get aleast little sunlight on it before it sweeps by. yes, i had nothing much to post here and simply preferred to watch 'n digest!

@ adithya,
no, i wasn't that busy with anything. actually, i was running out of images that well suited this forum, and since last few months i was hoping to revive my old CRT whose performance kept me away from commenting. finally, i gave-up & bought a new LED ... again, finding myself at the beginning of expecting 'n learning from LED pov!

regards.

Nevil, I love the long shadows, calibration look fine to me.
I only wish the plant in the foreground was better lit, I know we cant have everything :-)
