While I prefer image speaking for itself there are times like this when thoughts of the photographer can go unnoticed. But for this one word title I would not have related this to what you have in your mind (amputation). This is what I meant by saying I think for building a meaningful connection such creations needs melting deep experiences in crucible of life in this thread. Those who understand/feel amputation of organs due to unfortunate reasons will see cutting the tree in a different light now. Aren't we humans so selfish ? First, we need to feel the pain in a given context for understanding pain in that context of other life forms.

Thanks for sharing Manoj..

Manoj, I agree with Ganesh.. I almost skipped past the image and then noticed the title. It adds so much to the image! Thanks for sharing..

Manoj, I wasn't sure what the title mean.. and then went through... Such a title is a fit, though in a first look viewer wouldn't able to grasp what the artist is conveying... But, wait.. title will convey everything... Thanks for sharing..

Thanks - Raghu

Thanks guys for the feedback,

I agree with your comments, there is so much involved in pre- and post creation of an image, hard to express in words..
For this image, I related it to one of the children's film that was screened on Doordarshan 15-20 years back on one sunday afternnon, its about a tribal gal who loves nature so much and also has this talent to transform herself into this flowering tree for 1-2 months, whose flowers carried this divine aroma... once she offers these flowers to her friend, a boy.. the harmony of nature is shown they totally blend with nature.. Once by accident boy's father discovers the flowers and wants to make profit out of this, forces the boy to show him where the tree is.. boy reluctantly takes him to the forest where the tree is....the greedy man starts plundering the tree, axing it , chopping of the branches to take them back to village,.. the gal when she transforms back to her original form is shown with bruises all over her, blood oozing out.. It was heart touching scene, Wanted to portray the same here how some trees are fell for human's luxury...

Manoj: The title would have taken this image even higher interpretation of thoughts, had you got this with life and green on the other tree.
