Thank you all friends for your views.
First of all these are the images of Indian Fox cubs. I made this using 400mm f2.8 lens (thanks to Dhritiman who spared his camera/lens) (Nilanjan, nope, not TS lens). I agree
Ears is very anatomical - I was feeling guilty for not posting for almost a month so wanted to make a quick post
Thanks for better title suggestions.
Back to the question on square crop, I did try different crops but I wanted to give a little more visual weight for the one on left and settled down on this composition. Secondly, of late, I kind of think 35mm has an 'art-unfriendly' aspect ratio. Not sure whether I should attribute this to seeing 35mm for 15+ years. I some how started thinking length is too much ! Too bad I need to loose so many pixels. Wish I could afford a medium format
Why compare this one with
this one? Personally I liked this above one a lot more than the one in my site. I have made about a few hundred images of these little ones. But when I saw this one in the view finder I knew I got an interesting perspective. For my taste buds this one is very open compared to the other. I think the first one in my site is more for eyes and this one is for the mind. Just wanted to find out what you all think - hence the question. I know we all are coded differently, there is no right or wrong answer here.
Here is a non square perspective of the same -
Which one works better ? this one or the above square crop ?
Thanks again for your thoughts !
