Excellent lighting and nice image. I have few wishes!!!!, I wish, that bird is sitting facing outwards , so that harmony in photo, since all branches are away........... or if one branch ( the upper one) looks like one more life form , if it is just opposite to bird then it is conversing with that.............. these are only wishes, I know that in wild it would be difficult to achieve what we wish, thanks for sharing

@ Shashidhar: Your wishes are very tempting. Let me tell you what we got instead...we were on a boat safari on Bhadra River (Reservoir). This beauty sat there as we slowly approached. The bird just stood, opened its wings, lifted on leg backwards and posed.... as if giving a demo about how to glide. Eventually after some time the bird just flew away. I learnt one big lesson that day, never run out of your camera buffer memory when your in the wild. My DSLR allows only 6 Frames (in Raw) while shooting continuously. When the bird took off, my camera was in a state of Trance for about 9 seconds as i had continuously (without thinking or waiting for the right moment) shot 6 frames....missed a good opportunity i guess. Thought i should share this experience. Thank you Shashi.
