- a dream and an image -
Its been a few months since i last touched the camera and certain things had been keeping me busy with life. Took a break and drove down to attend my buddy and fellow CNP'ian Ashwini K Bhat's marriage followed by a 2 day vacation at the Hornbill paradise of our region - Dandeli. Didn't plan or conceptualized anything and spent time continuing to re-discover things and continued to dream of what future has to offer and continued to make images as and how it comes. One of such images which was taken during that process.

Like the color and feeling of light.

Art is about what is inside rather than what is outside

When an image is like a soft poem, it must be like this :-). I loved your hornbill image too Shiv. Beautifully composed both of them. Generally one would want to have striking contrast and a strong reflection to individualize the elements in this image, but what struck deep inside is that all the elements like the water, those branches, the leaves in them, the reflection, just all of it though separated in a subtle way but still are in unison to recite a poetry which tells me this is the place where solace is, this is the place where I can find myself....creating a perfect sense of being in my own element. Good that you picked up your cam after a while.....shooting everyday probably does not allow to make images like these :-). Outstanding....

'dream' here goes well with the subtle blur/glow, reflection and glowing greens Shiv. Pano works well, may be a bit wider border with slightly reduced intensity would add further ? Thanks for sharing..

A very soothing image. It reminds me of all those dreamy afternoons spent in the forest contemplating about life, with all worries left behind. It's times like these when you really feel one with the forest. This image reflects my feelings perfectly. Hats off!

loved the soothing colors and soft feel of this image. the glow is obviously making it dreamy, the trunk is disappearing in the leaves which adds to mystery of this wonderful photograph! superb! :-)

this is a dreamy scape, Shiv.
The calmness and serenity of the place is very well presented. The softness adds a lot to the feel and its so soothing !
TFS.

Hi Shiva,
All these days when I was neck deep in work I came back to this picture and looked at it for long. Its silence is nurturing. It gave me a release whenever I felt uptight during the past week or so. "Therapeutic image" comment by Nevil sums up the mood here.
Thanks for this.
