We humans being social animals, we would like to live with other human beings, but for few it happens so that, they could not get along with others....there will be a gap, difference etc etc.
Here in this image, focused 2 are together and going along (inclined to left of the frame) and the blurred one has a different inclination (to the right). Its not one in the group, the blurred one is not able to get along with all others. All other other grass blades in the background are in the same angle as the focused ones.
Instead of calling these 3 together, i chose to differentiate as 2 and 1. I also thought of 3 - 1 and then thought 2+1 sounds positive :)
