One of my favorite frames.. Probably i would have captured damselfly with all colors and details keeping bg black/plane a year back.. but things have changed:) Couldnt decide on any title.. Ideas to choose one will be great help!

Looking forward to know your views!

beautiful silhouette Ravi, super decision. It would have been just another macro shot if you would have gone the other way. Is this a desert plant (agave – not sure about the name) in the bg. I recently shot just the leaves of this kind of desert plant and it looks very similar to your bg, will post that soon.

I like your idea of keeping the fly in silhouette and showing more details of the b/g especially the shades. May be the left bottom portion being a little dark is bit of a distraction but it doesn't bother me. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Prithvi & Vikram.

@Prithvi - Yes, it is desert plant, I didnt knew the name.. I googled "Agave" based on your comment and it looks to be same plant. During PP i too was thinking of a frame without damselfy, hence curious to see your frame!

Liked the lines and silhouette. Square compo worked very well.
DOF of damselfly is pretty good. Thanks for sharing.

gorgeous silhouette of this beautiful little female damselfly. nice lines, and I love that she does not follow true with the plant, rather sticks out at a 45 degree angle..this draws your eye to her amazing wing design (or at least it did mine :-p )

cheers
