The confusion!
This image is creating a confusion in me whenever I look at it! If my visual flow anchors onto the sun on the top left corner and as it drops down, my mind starts comparing the image with the image of the earth shot from space! The formation of the cirrus clouds is adding to that feel. Then, when my eyes spot the flying kite towards the right border(which gives the normal feel of a bird flying in the sky) my mind gets totally confused as to how to correlate both the 'feels'!! That battle is still going on in my mind! I dont know if you also feel anything close to same!

I was visualising an ibis in the sky, but then the pattern itself looked attractive. By the time I clicked the frame, this kite just made itself in! I intentionally didn't clone or crop that bird to give the feel of confusion that I felt and to see if others also feel the same! Do you??? :?:

Hi Ashwani,
I agree with you. The image does cause confusion. The eye travels with the sun towards bottom right of the frame following strong cirrus lines. And that's where magic happens; the kite comes in and guides one back into the frame where one moves back and forth between the two poles i.e the sun and the kite. I tried visualising the frame with kite turned 180 degrees heading out & away from frame on the right side and found my gaze simply followed sun, cirrus lines, kite before leaving the frame. So I think it's the way the kite's placement and direction which turns the image around.
Beautiful!!

I really like this image the way it is. I personally don't feel any confusion. It's a beautiful image, has a lot of aesthetic appeal and what makes the image for me is the neat composition (the Sun in a corner and the clouds making patterns in the rest of the frame). Very artistic indeed. The sky is so vast and the patterns so random that it is difficult to compose such an aesthetic picture. So congrats! :-)

I'm not sure what I feel about the presence of the bird in the image. If the bird were not present, I would have liked it better because it would then look like a beautiful painting on canvas. However, the bird's presence also gives the viewer a sense of unlimited vastness that the sky is so famous for! So difficult to say whether or not the bird should have been there. Final word - Excellent!
