light glove
It was a field day for fog. Having to put up with endless gray was not what I had bargained for. Fog was around everything. My camera grew heavier each minute, tripod grew a a leg a minute.
But I walked.
Fog stalked.
Patience paid.
Near Jalori pass fog lifted for an eternity long enough for sunlight to embrace tree waists and for me to to click.
Eternity can be a split second register!

This is excellent!! The rim lighting has done marvel here! What was the time when you had made this image? I am curious about the blues at the upper part of the frame. Please let us know how did you get that.

Unique rim-lighting here Nirlep. May be you might have made using a print film ? Not sure whether there is a little bit of magenta cast. A bit more of sharpening may accentuate the rim-light further. Thanks for sharing..

Great to know that you liked the image. Thanks. Well the shot was taken at high noon around 11.30 am, september 2005 with sun slightly against the camera. The trees are all moss covered. When sun showed up the moss sort of fluoresced and did the trick for me. The blues and magentas in the background just came along and I didn't try removing it either. Yeah the shot is taken on film. Kodak elite chrome EC iso100. The place is Jalori pass in Seraj valley of HP. Alt 3000M.

Lovely image, after knowing how it is to be around fog and mist all day, how welcome a small ray of sun is, this image beautifully captures that burst of sunlight. I agree with the magenta retained here because that is how it is when you shot. This is an image one can't forget and keep good memories of the place visited.
