Punjab in october
Did some work on nature in Punjab existing on thin margins around canals and fields. The vegetation in the picture is typical of Punjab, mainly shrubs and reeds interspersed with trees at places.

Nirlep, this is so related to Durga Pooja in Bengal, the onset of the festive mood begins when these flowers begin to bloom a month or so in advance and every single house begins to count days waiting for the fun filled 5 days of Durga Pooja celebrations in Bengal. Not many years ago when there were not many houses around and most of the land was vacant in front of my house, the fields in front used to be full of these ( unimaginable numbers ) swaying in the light breeze, specially looked so beautiful on full moon nights :-). Now there is hardly any space left and I really do not remember when did I see them last in huge numbers ? This image really made me travel back in time and made me so nostalgic. Beautiful feelings :-)

Hi Nilanjan,
Things are almost the same here in Punjab. Thankfully reeds survive in some places. When in bloom there's nothing quite like them. i'll be posting a few more of these.

Mix of joy and freshness here Nirlep. I tend to think a square crop leaving the left part of the frame be more powerful. Thanks for sharing.
