Hi Arati.. my first impressions
1. The difference in shades of gray is brilliantly brought out :)
2. How would it be to place the line a little off center so that the division is not 50-50?
Phew.. 2 lines and i'm panting..commenting IS tough :)

I am not a good reader of images. So please ignore my comment if you feel inappropriate.
I came to this image several times today. I feel this image lacks something. It has Nirlep's images look in it's presentation, but failing to grow in mind or perhaps I am failing to receive the image.

Thanks for your thoughts, Rajesh, Adithya...

So here is what was in my mind when i looked up and saw this scene on the umbrella under which i was sitting.
It reminded me of a Sumi-e painting

And the way the flowers had fallen, it told me stories ... of estranged lovers, of friends having found each other, of questions asked by one and side-stepped by the other ... so yeah, this scene was "History" to me.... of what once was, and now is.

maybe something is missing... not sure what though? To me, that missing is the stuff i fill in.
As with many images on CNP and elsewhere, some sing to you, some dance to a tune one does not hear immediately... :)

thanks again for your comments,
A
