Great shot Praveen. I had tried something similar
here but couldn't nail it perfectly as this.

You might have already given it a thought but I believe B&W would give better mood.

Excellent image Praveen, 'solitude' is one of looking at it, 'resolve' may be another way? I would probably let go some definition on the tree to keep eyes more grounded on the bird. Does it need color when you are focusing on the 'character' of the bird there ? Hope I am not becoming color-blind.. :) Thanks for sharing - a fine image indeed..

Praveen, beautiful. simply lovely. the motion, the stillness. the flurry, the calm. and the beauty in both extremes -- shown off optimally here. really nice. agree with Ganesh on letting go the definition on the tree. there is something quite philosophical about the way the bird is looking away, towards the light, unmindful. really seems to speak volumes about its zen-like nature (haha, being superfluous here. is not all nature zen-like?).

thanks, this was a treat!

Beautiful image. Fading blue sky and reddish tinge on left-right side seems soothing to eyes. This image must have made sometime around sunset or dawn. The solitary egret stands out really well. TFS.

Praveen, do you mind sharing the shutter speed you used in this case ?

WOW its a stunner for sure. Lovely spotting and brilliant execution. I love it in color. Its very contrasting to see the two styles of photography come together.

I remember a stork and a star trail image by a French(?) photographer. This one is so much better, the stillness sinks in with a thought to wander around. Excellent execution.

Beautiful image Praveenji. Subtle color in this image is very appealing. This image can inspire those who wish to resist going with the wind. TFS.

Amazing frame Praveen. I too like the stillness and motion portrayed beautifully in the same frame.

What is unique about this image for me is the motion blur caused by only the wings. All those birds are still there but with only their wings blurred. Many a times we end up having the motion of the birds also in the frame which takes away the punch of the image. I liked this image very much mainly for that perfection in the execution. The feel is exquisite! Thanks for sharing!
