Fireworks - A Nature's Perspective
Presenting a common subect in an uncommon way is a challenging task. This flower (Mimosa Pudica - i suppose) is one of such subjects. There are various images in various photography forums which gives images of this flower from narrow to shallow depth of field. Making us of external light tools is something which i have learnt from Ganesh over the last few months. I carried along my Maglight (warm) torch light along with me to TG Halli yesterday and used it along with external off camera flash to produce a Firework sort of apperance. Considering the fact that i was playing with 3 different light sources - it was really tough things in right way.

This is my way of celebrating Diwali with nature :)

Canon 40D + 100mm F2.8 + 25mm ExtensioTube + Canon 220Ex triggered off the camera using flash cord + Maglite (Warm) Flashlight

One more persepctive can be found here >> http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3188/287 ... e70c_o.jpg

Would be very interested in knowing others views on this attempt.

Nice fire works here Shiv! One day I spent hours trying to make an image of it. Working with dof is just not easy. You have done a very good job of it. May be a little more space all over add to the composition. Thanks for sharing.

This is great use of the external lights. I am seeing nature so differently now, thanks for showing us these perspectives. Getting right dof is the essence of this image.
