flourescence
this insect was inside a tubular leaf. basically, it was a leaf which had not yet unfurled and hence it was tubular in shape. the insect was about 6 inches inside. I took a macro photo but it wasnt interesting. so i focused on the insect and gave a flash from the outside of the leaf and a bit below the level of the insect, so that the leaf surface lit up and the texture of the leaf was revealed in shades of flourescent green. and i got a very interesting silhoutte.

This is really good, the curvature of the leaf adds to the image, love the colour too. I only the insect could have more details it would have been nice. The use of external flash works here too.

great thoughtful image with wonderful tones of greens, girishji. love the idea behind and the mysterious silhoutte feeling it evokes. i would rather try to compose in a different way, making it little more complex.

regards.

An interesting composition Girish. Love those circular traces. I think a little more definition of the insect would have added to the image.

Thanks for sharing.
