Bird's Circle
I spent couple of misty mornings photographing this fly-catcher at a particular place at Bharatpur. It used to come and sit on this perch often while silent other events happening poetically in nature. While I was feeling these simple *nothing to talk about* moments of the nature and the world of this little bird expression of the feeling as images was tough. Kind of liked this one though..

I love the simplicity here Ganeshanna. The mood is fantastic. I wish the profile of the bird was a little more defined, may be? Or it could be just me.. but that ripple around the bird is just making it an outstanding image! Thanks so much, for showing us the way!

Not sure how many of you browse CNP using glossy displays like iPad/iPad mini or similar glossy screens. I processed this on a Matt display and currently seeing it on an iPad mini. The feel of the image is 50% gone when seen on these glossy surfaces. When I bought my Mac Pro I consciously decided to buy a non- Apple Matt display.

Very nice image Ganshi. I liked the fact that you did not turn the image, well then the ripple did not allow you to turn as well :-), I think this is looking quite good on my mac. Will see on a matt display but am sure it will not match how it looks on your NEC or RD's EIZO. Simple images like these are the most difficult to make actually. The other day only in Bharatpur myself and Praveen were discussing that maturity in image making does not mean one makes an image which goes beyond the mind of a common person but it actually allows a person to respond and communicate with the simplest of objects around him which otherwise get ignored. Loved this image, thanks bro. Am really dying to see those lovely darter portraits you made....they looked mind blowing in the camera itself, now after processing am sure they are looking one of a kind. Plz post one or two of those....

Since i am looking at this image on a glossy display, i can only imagine how it would look on matte(infact i never knew that there are matte displays ). Once again i am seeing the unseen though your eyes. Thanks for sharing sir.

Simple and looks great on my monitor Ganesh, though it looks simple, it is indeed difficult as Nilanjan says.

The feel of grain definitely needs a matte display to enjoy. Glossy simply can't do justice to subtle distribution of grains and the added texture/dimension. Probably the best choice is paper to feel it fully !

Hi Ganesh, the ripple makes the image for me, so does the tone. As its been discussed here, its best appreciated on a matt display and I see a sharp difference and the mood is better conveyed on matt. Thanks for sharing.

GaneshAnna...to me this conveys the circle of life so beautifully...For a change i wud differ with Kiran here :) I love the imperfection of the of the reflection here...for that matter life is hardly perfect...TFS.

So simple yet so beautiful Ganesh.. Those ripples really add a lot to this image. Was this shot using the TS adapter?

love the feel of the image, ganesh, like a 'gazal'! frame of ripples 'n hint of the bird makes it so intriguing.

regards.
