RD, just a thought. Colored image as I saw in ur cam was more appealing, however during processing u need to be careful. Muted cluttered foreground while retaining the cranes in the bg will make this very very interesting. This is not an image for monochrome in my opinion as the contrast and the tonal similarity of the foreground is spoiling the show. It is becoming difficult for the eyes and the mind to penetrate to the subject eventually. Also try to tone down the water with the reflection. Hope this helps buddy.....

Well, i was not sure what i would get thru the clutters, i just selected the place to shoot them as others were busy in a different so called clean angle. At the time of execution, first thing came to my mind was to get some definition of both the birds thru clutters, so that it could create some curiosity in the visual. As I told you that day, all of these visuals were thought to be monochrome than color. Most of the times they fail as in this case, but it is for those occasional clicks we look for which work for us and for viewers.
Never mind, this my not have created a great image, but the process was more enjoyable. In the end those are the moments we look for right ?

RD, I think the colored one is more appealing as I saw it on your LCD which gives a little more emphasis to the birds. Or darker region in the front could be opened up slightly ?
