Wary eye
I am sure most of us on the recent trip to Bharatpur checked this guy out. I was fascinated by the owlets during this trip. I spent quite a lot of time with this one at SampanMori and a few at near the temple. Here is one image I liked.

Appreciate your views.

Regards,
ramesh

Love this image Ramesh ! You got it !! I spent a few days for some interesting perspectives like this one ! Nope, I couldn't get it... Now the puzzle is where is its second eye ? :) Left side or on the other side ? :) It was a fantastic experience to watch them through view finders. Kiran & Abhisek spent hours making images of them. I am sure they have some images in their kitty too :)

You've portrayed the goobey (owl) behavior perfectly here, Ramesh! Superb. loved this image lots. and i spent a lot of time figuring out what i was seeing - which part of the goobey's face :)

thanks, such a treat.

Good puzzle here Ramesh. I would have liked the sized of the bird to be bit less, may be 2/3rds of what is, in the frame. Would it add more to the image?, may be just for me I guess.

I know where the other eye is.. :) Such a beautiful image with divine lighting. Brings a smile everytime i look. This image portrays its shy and secretive nature very well. TFS.

The most popular guy from Bharatpur... he probably opened his eye for 1 second in the entire 7 days we saw him there... and you have caught him with that :) Good work Ramesh!!

Thanks all.

Ganesh/Arati/RD, i didn't think that eye could also be part of a puzzle:) Just to clarify, it was facing left with this eye momentarily watching me.

Nilanjan, this one was lovely to watch in the golden light of setting sun.

RD, as Kiran mentioned, the challenge with this bird was that it dozed off mostly. On some rare moments and that too for a fraction of a second, it opened its eye! I might have some images with the bird jsut visible, but without its eye, image lost its impact.

Kiran/Abhishek, love to see your takes of this guy.

Very nicely made delicacy. After all it's Goobe! Perhaps little more depth could have added a lot to the image.
