Very interesting caption Arati.... use a caption to connect from our experience as humans, like a primate image ?? hehehehe. But I agree on this caption Dementia....the visual might not be exactly representative of what the caption suggests...but still if our emotional experiences help to keep nature images alive and make us more sensitive about them, then why not ?? Kiran's image of the rhesus covering the face might not be exactly what we are assuming it to be . But through our experiences and emotions if we ultimately become more connected with the other life forms then I really have no problem. I definitely have problems with giving haircuts to animals to suite our taste buds or make human fashion statements. Like I have problems with genetic mixing to create a new breed of dog. What are these re ?? Loved this image a lot...

Yes, i used an emotive caption to connect - but because i see it as an abstract. I am still unsure if i would caption an emotion in an animal - but that is another thread Oh and for the record: poor Kiran's image should NOT take the brunt of what i was referring to. I was addressing a bigger issue. saying such attributions of anthropomorphic terms like "evil" and "nasty" and "greedy" (which are negative human traits not seen in animals) perpetrates stereotypes that has harmed the animals - even caused extinctions. But all this was said in another thread ... i am rambling.

Oyee, hang on !!!! Ganshi having coffee ?? Since when ?? Both of u come to Kolkata for some coffee....will take u to a place called called Coffee house in College street. Undoubtedly the worst coffee in the world, but the walls are painted with the history of the creative and revolutionary Bengal....u must have seen Arati ?? My college was bang opposite to the place......nostalgia here as of now....soon would be dementia :-).

arati, as i always say..you have a unique thought process and expressive gift and applied to your images, shape a certain direction for the viewer, Dementia. the title, defines the image and invites one to stand in your space and veiw it the way you saw it or titled it.i guess thats what a Title does for an image. such an interesting triangle..Veiwer..image..title.,
not really in that order..i guess its more cyclical...
im gonna mull over this cyclic relationship and see what comes up for me.
This image...i like the ambiguity, the profoundness and chaos..as we scan the image and try to make an order out of this in our minds...
