El Capitan
The sheer rock face of El Capitan. Re processed after couple of years.
On another note somehow I feel the light is so much easier to handle in Yosemite

Hi Raj
"I feel the light is so much easier to handle in Yosemite"..Raj it's your modesty. Gimme this image and I'll make a dreary gray soup of it. Looking at the image it's as if you've been under the tutelage of Ansel Adams. I'm not over stating. And that beholder's eyelash on top left man what an inclusion! It is so feminine it almost melts the rock. One of the best from your collection Raj.
Cheers!

So so well put Nirlep!! "That beholder's eyelash"!! Grateful to CNP for such learning experiences!!
Immaterial to talk about the image and its nuances in those dents and textures...beautifully sculpted...

It is so feminine it almost melts the rock. Love that critique by Nirlep and agree too :) ! Couple of years back when I visited Yosemite I kind of felt unlike the light here in this part of the world the difference between shadow and highlights are less and probably it is easier (and joy) to handle the shadows. Your thoughts Raj ?

Thanks Nevil, Nirlep, Abhisek, Ganesh.
@ Nirlep - Really generous of you. I have a long way to go to make pictures from my heart.
@ Ganesh - Two things do help in Yosemite - The inherent tone of rocks and also the Quality of light and reflected blue light in shadows. my D80 sensor was able to cope :)

tonal range at its best. Nirlep's words on the eyelashes gave a different meaning to the image. Thanks to both Rajkumar and Nirlep :)
