Hey Arati, I like this one for the gold tone and the texture. Kind of mysterious shot ....dunno why but reminds me of Indiana Jones inside the temple looking down on a pool of water ! Gaaaak !

the leaf there and the fish leaving it makes this a superlative image .....

Arati, I like this one better than the one you uploaded and later deleted. More room around the leaf adds a lot. Like your previous post I have a similar question. Fish and leaf, or just leaf ? I did understand your thoughts on your previous post and probably this one (contrasting co-existence?). I am not sure which one makes a stronger composition with less of subjectivity. I do think however my suggestion might make it too predictable. Yes, there are no right or wrong answers here, you better choose what you like most ( :) ) I am just sharing my thoughts as a viewer. Thanks for sharing.

thanks krish, swapnil, ganesh!
krish - that hue is what attracted me first.
but since then, as Ganesh has spoken my mind, i am wishing i had made a frame one the mudskipper bid adieu and left. one with just the leaf - which itself was an embodiment of fragility and the cycle of life....

So, to answer your qn ganesh, this time it was a case of being carried away by the foreground and not being mindful of the bigger picture, the canvas itself - the portrayal of which i usually am a huge proponent of.

sigh.
next time, here's to being more mindful.

well..I have a slightly different view from Ganesh here. Had the fish not been there , this image, (to me) would be that much more ..well how you say..."without drama" and as Ganesh mentions "predictable". Between the one with the fish & without, I prefer with the fish.

But then I usually dont ( perhaps never) read meanings into images that I view. The images are purely visual ( appeals to me or does not appeal to me) and I usually dont bother to dive into the meaning of various feelings which in any case I seldom am able to sense when I see an image. Perhaps the one thing that definitely moves me is a well placed kick :-) . Might take some more time to think like you folks.
