GaneshAnna...Couple of thoughts...that came to my mind when I saw this image...

I think this could have been just anything else...a baby elephant...a hyena (assuming we don't know it's from Corbett) and also a wild boar...
Being explicit in the caption somehow reduces the scope for that individual attribution for me...
This to me even suggests "its" cryptic presence...as if "its" reflection on water...

On a side note...Would just like to understand why you decided to retain the colors here...was the monochromes not bringing out its presence? I have personally been facing a lot of dilemma about when to retain colors...am sure your views would help eliminate some of those confusions...

Thanks,
Abhisek

I am a little surprised by this image of yours Ganesh.
Without your title it's not possible for me to identify the boar. It looks like 'play of colors'. Is there a confusion about whether to lose the reality completely or retain a hint of that?

Abhisek/Adithya, I don't wanted this to be interpreted as "play of colors' like what Adithya mentioned, I do wanted its identity, that is the reason for the explicit title ! I agree with you it could resemble other animals too. In B&W the feel of grass and visual contrast goes away, so decided to leave it in color. Thanks for your views.

Ganesh, i am more surprised with your response !
I am sure you knew well on the field that you would be losing the definition of boar, lost in your thoughts then ? Never mind, i know such disappointments for us would treat us better in future.

Hi Ganesh, I initially could not get any visual grip on this image. But if this image is scrolled down and seen excluding the sky, the boar stands very clear. Even if there was no title, i think now, that i would have identified it as a Wild Boar.

Hi Ganesh, to start with, I would say this image is "un-Ganesh-like" to me, perhaps one its in color (for this kind of panning and do agree that color is the best option than b&w) and giving the viewer an explicit idea about the image (wild boar). Given both these, i would still say that I needed a little more imagination to "see" the boar in this image but made a lot of sense when I viewed it at a distance . In the background is it an elephant or something?, I felt it as a minor distraction. Thanks for sharing. Vikram
